There are many considerations when choosing the right surface. If your white plaster swimming pool was resurfaced 10-15 years ago and the pool finish or hot tub finish is delaminating, it is most likely reaching end of life and pool repairs would not be of value. When a pebble pool was resurfaced 15-20 years ago and the pools surface is losing pebbles or the pebble is cracking, that too is approaching end of life and pool repairs might not be of value. The remodel process can be a week-long task or can be extended much longer depending upon the amount of work that is needed. For a standard save pool tile, and pool resurface only, it can be a relatively quick remodel process. However, if you are doing a larger swimming pool remodel there can be many scheduling factors that lead to a longer process. Being that we have been in the pool business over 6 decades and completed thousands of remodel projects, your assigned supervisor can give you an approximate time frame on your specific pool remodel or pool re-plastering.
The resurface process starts when a tech comes and drains your pool, chip out or demo the old white plaster or old pebble product. Either save the pool tile, or replace the pool tile, prep the surface, seal any rebar, shoot the white plaster, Ultra Poz, Pebble or other type of pool finish, add wall fittings and main drains, then fill the pool and perform the swimming pool start up,
